Bonnie Raitt has been active in environmental issues since the 1970s. She likes to tour on a bio-diesel bus and hybrid solar electric cars.

 She helped create the Green Highway concept to link business with environment. Bonnie said: "Our economic life must run in harmony with the sanctity of the natural environment”.
