Differential Controller KIT
This Basic analog differential controller kit or has an indicator that glows brighter in proportion to the temperature difference between solar collector and storage tank. This solar heat controller is capable of regulating AC or DC pumps with power requirements less than 300 Watts. As a matter of fact the relay has been tested for 24 hours under a constant load of 500 Watts with no signs of degradation yet the controller itself consumes less than1 Watt of power per hour. Fully assembled this basic controller now has a price tag of $85 and the price of the controller KIT is only is $65. Shipping is FREE to any place on planet Earth as long as supplies last. Bigger is better when it comes to the surface area of collectors, but it's not necessarily better when it comes to the size of the differential controller. This Controller is easy to build from a schematic and even easier to build with a KIT and set of instructions. The dime is not part of the KIT and you'll have to supply your own solder, but I'll throw in a set of thermistors, 4 mounting screws, 4 standoffs and FREE shipping for $65. If you're going to drive an AC pump you'll need a tiny DC wall transformer to power the controller. I do have have DC wall adapters for sale but if you have a little 9 Volt Wall transformer laying around you're all set. Here is basically what you get with the basic differential controller:
As you can see the basic differential controller is fairly easy to connect to either an AC or DC pump, but if you're looking for a fully enclosed, very attractive basic controller specially modified for a PV system look no further.
